Standard Photography Packages

About my photo philosophy: My clients tend to value quality over quantity. For each portrait package, I review hundreds of images and present you with a gallery of the absolute best shots from your session. Before your favorite images are finalized for purchase, digital retouching takes each image to the next level for maximum impact. In the final step, I use print labs that deal exclusively with pro photographers and have rigorous quality control standards. Throughout the process, I use hardware and software that are calibrated to match the standards of the lab equipment used at my print partners.

Fine Art Portrait Sessions

Best for: People who desire a broad selection of creative looks, digital artistic alterations, fine-art print options, and publication-quality retouching.

What you get: Photo sessions last approximately two hours. Sessions include unlimited costume changes and cover a broad range of artistic moods and looks. Each image selected for printing or digital purchase undergoes publication-quality retouching and artistic enhancement in Photoshop, as well as color calibration to maximize the images impact in prints and enlargements.

• Include one other person in your photo session for no extra charge.
• Location shoots within 30 minutes of West Seattle are no extra charge. For more distant locations, additional travel costs may be required.
• Publication-quality retouching includes a wide range of artistic alterations as well as cleaning up imperfections (blemishes, stains, etc).
• Available print options include matting, framing, and fine art papers.

Price: The session fee is $250, which includes a $50 print credit.

• Digital copies of your favorite 3 photos for printing up to 5x7, plus web-optimized copies of the same photos.
• Online print ordering from my professional print lab partners, who typically work only with pro photographers.
• Additional high resolution digital files may be purchased for $35 apiece, or at a discounted $25 apiece for more than five.
• Digital copies of proofs are released on all print orders exceeding $200

Comments: My photo software, hardware, and monitors are calibrated to match the color standards of the labs that I use. For that reason, I strongly recommend that enlargements be done through my partner labs. It is impossible to warrant prints made at consumer labs with unknown equipment calibration or quality controls

Basic Portrait Session

Best for: People who want good-looking images but do not need artistic photomanipulation, publication-quality retouching, or fine-art print options.

What you get: Photo sessions of 60 minutes with 3 costume changes, in studio or on location. Each of the final images undergoes tonal balancing and basic retouching.

• Include one other person in your photo session for no extra charge.
• Location shoots within 30 minutes of West Seattle are no extra charge.

Price: The session fee is $150.

• Print-ready digital files may be purchased for $30 apiece, or at a discounted $20 apiece if purchasing more than five.
• Prints may be ordered online from my professional print labs, who typically work only with pro photographers.
• Digital copies of proofs are released on all print orders exceeding $200

Headshot Sessions

Headshot sessions are like scaled-back business portrait sessions. A headshot gives you a straight-ahead professional "mug shot" for marketing and PR purposes.

• Session fee of $135.
• Photo session of at least 45 minutes with 2 costume changes
• Travel for location shoots within 20 minutes of West Seattle is no extra charge.
• Retouching of the 3 best photos (you get to choose your favorites)
• Digital copies of your favorite 3 photos for printing up to 4x6, plus web-optimized copies of the same photos.
• Online ordering of larger prints is available through my professional partner labs.
• Additional images can be retouched and downloaded for a fee.
• Makeup artists and hairdressers can be retained for an extra fee.

Web Profile Mini-Sessions

If you want flattering photos that make your online profiles "pop", but you don't need prints, detailed retouching, or Photoshop artistry, then the web profile session is your friend. These images are great for online dating profiles, facebook, and any other web purpose where it's you want to look your best.

• Session fee is $75.
• Photo session of at least 30 minutes.
• Web-optimized digital copies of the 3 best photos (you get to choose your favorites).
• Additional images can be purchased for an extra fee.

If you are managing a business, I know that you have to cost-justify whatever you spend.  I also understand that you work in a deadline-sensitive environment. So before starting any project, we will discuss your objectives, your target audience, timeframe, deliverables, and budgetary constraints.  I'll also provide whatever creative input I think might be helpful. Whenever possible, I'll give you a range of different options at different price points. And I will be sensitive to your project budget.
